HYPNOSIS AND HYPNOTHERAPY
One of the first questions I'm often asked is, 'what is the difference between hypnosis and hypnotherapy?'
Hypnosis is a powerful tool which can be described as a state of focused attention with reduced awareness of whatever else is going on around you. This allows you to connect with unwanted thoughts or behaviours, change the way you think and take back control of your life.
It is a talking therapy which focuses your imagination and subconscious to help bring about positive changes to your thoughts, feelings or behaviours. Safe and non-invasive, it can help with many of the issues that health problems may bring.
Anxiety and stress - confidence and self-esteem - chronic pain - grief and loss - habit change - insomnia or sleep issues - irritable bowel syndrome - anger management - smoking cessation - fears and phobias - weight loss or control - addiction recovery - performance and sport - relationship issues - and so much more.
We are all different, and we all respond differently, so your hypnotherapy sessions are solution-focused tailored to your individual needs. It is a collaborative process, you and I working together. Together, we establish the goals for therapy and formulate a plan.
Depending on what you want to change or how serious or long-standing your issue is, you might only need one or two sessions to make a big difference, or you may benefit from a longer programme of sessions over a longer period of time.
I will guide you through each session with suggestions to help you shape your perceptions of your reality. You are always in control and you won’t ever do anything you don’t want to do, or is against your morals or beliefs.
So whether you want to change something you do (or don't do), change how you think about something, get insight into why or explore the influences of your past, hypnotherapy could be what you're looking for.
If you'd like to discuss how I could help you, do get in touch. It could be the best call you ever made.
